The Schlumpf CTA series air shaft with lug type expansion segments is our most popular shaft. It is available in steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber bodies with expansion segments from either steel or rubber which makes it excellent for a broad range of applications. Due to the robust design and high expansion force it is well suited for high load and torque applications. It is not uncommon for this shaft to run years without needing repair or replacement. Sizes to handle 3 inch and 6 inch diameter cores are standard with custom sizes available. Journal configurations available to fit any safety chuck on the market.
