Schlumpf was incorporated in 1992 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schlumpf AG of Switzerland, which itself dates back to 1886.
The company was sold to Chris van Haasteren, Schlumpf’s CEO, at the end of 2009 following the death of Hans Peter Schlumpf, who long served as our leader and mentor.
Schlumpf is located in Windham (Portland), Maine. In January 2013 we moved our world headquarters to a beautiful new facility that doubled our office, engineering and production space to meet demand for our extensive line of products for the rolled goods manufacturing, converting and material handling marketplace. The new office space houses Schlumpf’s sales, administration, production, engineering and service, as well as our sister companies: Sebago CNC & Armanni USA.
Sebago CNC, is a single source supplier of machined parts for Schlumpf. Established in 2000, Sebago’s state-of-the-art CNC turning, milling and fabrication equipment ensures timely deliveries at affordable prices, enabling Schlumpf to control both quality and production costs.
Sebago has invested nearly $1 million in new production equipment in the last 5 years to keep pace with Schlumpf’s demand. In addition, a large nationwide network of trusted vendors supply Schlumpf with other services such as laser cutting, bending, welding and powder coating.
With more than 30 years of industry experience, ARMANNI Carrelli Elevatori Srl, of Albino (Bergamo), Italy, is an established leader in the design and production of high quality, affordably priced lift trucks, tow trucks, pallet trucks, lift tables, drum handlers and other specialty handling equipment. Armanni USA was named the exclusive North American distributor of Armanni products in 2012.
Armanni trucks serve as the platform for many of Schlumpf’s roll and shaft handling machines. They are also an excellent solution for every day material handling problems in warehouses, machine shops and other industrial plants. Armanni is well known for its flexibility and willingness to make alterations, specials & completely custom equipment.
Need a taller mast? No problem! Need shorter or longer legs or a custom frame? No problem! Need a fully stainless steel truck for corrosive environments or wash down duty? No problem! Just ask! The ARMANNI name is well known in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Armanni USA is pleased to introduce Armanni products to the rest of the world!
