Schlumpf’s newest addition to its popular line of ergonomically-designed roll handlers is the ERH-400 Smart Schlumpf. Built upon the best-selling ERH platform. The Smart Schlumpf is the first-ever mobile roll handler to incorporate a laser-guided positioning system. The system uses stored data to automatically stop at one or more spindle heights for easy and accurate roll loading. An easy-to-use pendant control on the handle bar assembly allows the operator to lift, turn and load rolls virtually hands free, which dramatically increases operator safety.

Easy-to-Use Controls

The ERH-400 Smart Schlumpf features an easy-to-use, ergonomically designed pendant control with an emergency stop for increased safety. A large status screen displays the current position of the load and a battery meter displays the current charge state of the battery.

Advanced Automatic Functions

The ERH-400 Smart Schlumpf uses laser-guided positioning to quickly and safely locate the loading position on the shaft. Once found the roll can be easily placed on the shaft using the piston assembly.

ERH-400

The ERH-400 is used to lift and turn rolls by the core for palletizing, transporting and loading. Holding the rolls inside the core without contacting the valuable material reduces the risk of both material damage and operator injury, saving your company money and valuable resources.

Schlumpf’s MRH series of portable manual handling machines is a versatile tool for many lifting applications. Designed for portability, ease of use and affordability, the MRH gives operators a safe, cost effective alternative to “manhandling” valuable products.

The MRH can be combined with a wide variety of tooling and lifting attachment options such as universal roll handling mandrels, spreader bars, lifting eyes, cradle platforms as well as custom designs. With its quick change tooling feature, lifting attachments can be changed without the need for tools. The self locking mechanical lifting system makes raising and lowering loads up to 500 lbs fast and easy.

Schlumpf’s HRH-1000 Narrow Web Lifter is a versatile tool for many converting applications. Designed for portability, ease of use and flexibility, the HRH-1000-PRP gives operators a safe, low cost alternative to “manhandling” valuable products. The HRH-1000-PRP is ideal for narrow web machinery with cantilevered unwinds and rewinds such as label presses, die cutters, inspection machines, laser printers and doctor machines. The HRH’s roller probe makes lifting, transporting, loading and unloading rolls with weight to 1,000 lbs (450 kg) fast, easy and completely safe. No more bending over to access rolls on low-mounted spindles.

With its maneuverable, light weight and compact design, the HRH is ideal for crowded machine floors and press rooms. Custom configurations & tooling are available upon request.
